Which social media platform is best for your wedding vendor business?

Couples generally book their weddings a year or more in advance.

Below are the social media platforms we incorporate into our client's marketing strategies, based on their importance for wedding-related businesses.

Wedding Social Media

1. Facebook

Facebook features are very useful to all wedding vendors. You can easily create a page for your company and use it as a starting point to promote your brand. You need to keep in mind that potential customers are already on Facebook, you just need to find how to show them the services you offer!

You can do that by promoting your brand through paid ads and targeting your audience according to their sex gender, age, hobbies, interests, and more.

2. Instagram

Instagram revolutionized the digital world by creating hashtags. Hashtags are everywhere, and work!

There are two types of Instagram accounts: personal and business. We highly recommend creating a business profile in order to communicate with potential clients in an engaging way. This platform features tools such as hashtags, geotags, and a link back to your website.

As with Facebook, paid ads are available so potential customers can see the services you offer on their stories or feeds.

3. Pinterest

Pinterest is an excellent platform to promote and share images of your products/services! The pinboard, as Pinterest calls it, allows users to gather and/or post images according to certain categories.

You can also join different groups related to wedding planning and find ideas or communicate with other people in the same field as you.

4. Twitter

For wedding professionals, Twitter is a great way to connect with people on a personal level by using short tweets that can be retweeted over and over again. It is also a great tool for customer service as users can interact directly with companies via direct messages.

Twitter can be used to drive traffic to your official website or online store too.

5. LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a social media platform with a more professional tone. It is great for wedding vendors who want to promote their brand and bring in new customers. The platform allows users to create groups that people can join according to certain interests.

You can create a profile for your business and share your content with potential customers. However, the engagement rate on this platform is lower than other social media channels but it is worth giving it a try!

6. TikTok

TikTok is a relatively new platform but it has grown exponentially since its launch in 2016. It allows users to create short videos and share them with their followers by using hashtags, geotags, and comments.

While the engagement rate on TikTok is lower than that of other social media platforms as there are only a few likes and comments on each post, if you're a wedding professional looking to increase your following, this might be worth a shot.
