Why Should You Go Totally Custom?

We get this question a lot. Honestly? Because, you’re already investing with vendors to make your day different from other weddings you’ve attended. So, why cut corners with something that is supposed to be timeless? Custom stationery is something you can show off for years to come. We’ve had brides FRAME our invitations and put them up for display in their homes. Plus, we’re one of the most exciting parts of planning - so why not?


// Let’s Talk Process //

STEP ONE: Please fill out our questionnaire at the top of this section where we can know how many people are attending, your vibe and your budget, etc. This gives us some insight on the look and feel you want, and it gets your place in line for the months ahead.

STEP TWO: WE WANT TO MEET YOU! Let’s find a time that works best for you, and sit down and talk about the big day. This can be over coffee or drinks - whatever you prefer! This helps you feel more comfortable with the person handling one of the most important aspects of your wedding. We know you’re busy so we will only take an hour or so of your time. But we recommend picking a day that we can dive into everything head first and get acquainted.

STEP THREE: I require a deposit at booking. (This depends on the project price) Then we start making magic. I will create suite we decided on at our prior meeting and then show you proofs! My pricing starts at $5 per suite, but it depends on the customization the suite entails.

STEP FOUR: After your approval, I take your beautiful creation to my local print shop! Around this time I will be handwriting all of the envelopes for all of your guest list, if you wish for me to do so.

STEP FIVE: Your creation is done! And we ALL JUMP FOR JOY!

All in all this whole process takes a week to two weeks depending on the design.

So, When Do We Start?

SAVE THE DATES: 7-15 Months Before

Rule of thumb, is usually sending Save the Dates 6-12 months before your wedding date. This will allow the designs to take 3-6 weeks for printing. (depending on foil, flat lay or letterpress)

BEGIN INVITATIONS: 3-5 Months Before

Best time to mail out your invitations are 6-8 before your wedding - if your wedding is a destination wedding we say 3-4 months prior - this allows 3-7 weeks for design and flat lay printing. Please allow more time for foil and letterpress

BEGIN THANK YOU NOTES: 0-12 Months Before

It’s always easiest to order thank you notes with your invitation suite - so they have the same design and look and feel as your wedding suite. Although traditionally, you have up to a year to get Thank You cards out, we recommend mailing them 2-3 weeks after receiving gifts. Aunt Cheryl might start blowing up your phone asking where her Thank You card is, and we don’t want that.


3+ Months Before

If you decide not to send these out with the invitation suite, you can always send them out 3-6 weeks before the event. This will allow enough time for flat lays, letterpress and foil - if talked about in first consultation.


As you know a lot of these items such as programs, escort cards, menus, etc. can’t be printed until we have received the RSVPs back from guests. Allow 3-5 weeks for flat lay and more for foil and letterpress.

Let’s Talk Mula $$

Our pricing is different for every client. This is based on suite quantities, the finishing (flat lay, foil, letterpress), number of items in the suite, etc. Our base price is $7 per suite. FYI a ‘suite’ is the bundle of stationery you need to get ‘started’ i.e. invitations + Save the Date + Details Card or however your suite looks like for your big day.
